Reinstate Free TV Licenses For Over 75s

Brecon & Radnorshire Lib Dems are campaigning to restore free TV licences for over 75s.

The Conservative Government scrapped free TV licences from 1st August, which has impacted on countless older residents across Powys.

Throughout the COVID pandemic, the TV has been a lifeline for many elderly residents who’ve taken the government’s advice and stayed at home.

With the dark nights drawing in and elderly residents now once again facing a prolonged period of social isolation we are calling for the UK Gov to immediately review the decision to charge the elderly for TV Licenses.

We call on the Government to reinstate the free TV licences for the over 75s, back our campaign by signing the petition below.
