Jane Dodds: Mid and West Wales Region

I was born and raised in Wrexham in a Welsh-speaking family.  From the day I was born my Mum and Dad raised me to appreciate value of public service and were very active in our community.

They drove me to work hard and get the best education I could. I attended Ysgol Morgan Llwyd and graduated from Cardiff University before training to become a social worker.

For the next 27 years I worked as a Child Protective Social Worker, working to protect vulnerable children at home and abroad. I currently live in Hay-on-Wye with my husband Patrick and am so passionate about supporting our many diverse communities across Mid Wales.

During my time as your MP, I stood up to demand better from our politicians and the Westminster Government. I want to stand up for everyone in our community that feels let down by those in power.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused untold pain to both families and communities across Wales. As we look to emerge from the pandemic I believe that we must Put Recovery First and invest in our towns, cities, and villages to ensure we can build back better, greener, and fairer.

Living here in Brecon & Radnorshire, I know just how important it is that we have politicians who understand the unique issues affecting our rural communities,

That is why I am fighting to make sure the voice of our local communities are heard in Cardiff Bay.

As the lead list candidate for Mid and West Wales, I am working with Kirsty Williams, William Powell and others to ensure that we build a fairer, greener society which improves the lives of you and your family.

So, if you want to ensure that Kirsty Williams' 22 years of diligent service is continued, and believe we must Put Recovery First, then vote Welsh Liberal Democrat on all three of your ballots this May.
